Lead singer and songwriter with the UK Punk group Sham 69. Pursey formed [a=Sham 69] in the year 1976, left to pursue other projects (such as the Sham Pistols, and his solo career) at the end of the 1970s, reformed the band in 1987 and, after a bitter fallout between him and Dave Parsons, was eventually fired from the band in 2007.
